Whether your property is commercial, industrial, or institutional, chances are that drywall is an integral component in its construction. Understanding your drywall options can help you ensure that your next construction or renovation project is a success. Here is a brief look at your drywall options from Magnum Drywall:

Standard Drywall
Drywall has in recent years become a massively popular component in construction projects of all types. Also known as gypsum wallboard, drywall has virtually replaced plaster in American homes and businesses. Because it is resistant to both fire and cracking, drywall’s superiority to plaster is unquestionable.

Fiberglass Reinforced Panels (FRP)
FRP can be easily installed on walls and ceilings to create a durable and easy-to-clean surface. FRP are also strong and resistant to scratches, mold, mildew, stains, high impact, and bacteria growth, making them ideal for use in restaurants, hospitals, and restrooms. Once installed, these panels require very little maintenance.

Lath and Plaster
This building method is often used for interior partition walls and ceilings. Layers of wooden or gypsum wallboard laths sandwich plaster to strengthen and insulate a wall or ceiling. Though drywall and lath and plaster have similar applications, lath and plaster has certain design advantages when used for ornamental or unusually shaped structures. Lath and plaster is very customizable and can sometimes offer superior sound-proofing.

Other Drywall Options
As a full-service drywall contractor with experience in the private and public sectors, Magnum Drywall also offers interior and exterior metal stud framing, fine detailed taping finish work, acoustical insulation, demountable walls, reveals and trims, and other custom specialty drywall services. Our drywall contractors prioritize high-quality service and environmental consciousness; we always adhere to the guidelines for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) projects because our commitment to the environment is at the core of our business.
